UK Film School have been running a successful Film School for over 15 years and during that time have hosted hundreds of students from all over the world.
In 2023 we partnered with Creative Media Skills Institute (CMSI) to deliver our career focussed filmmaking courses.
This collaboration is a perfect fit and will benefit students as CMSI are based at the iconic Pinewood Studios, the heart of British Film and they are one of the foremost providers of industry led training.
The health, safety & welfare of students is our main priority. To ensure everyone’s safety risk assessments are regularly reviewed with our team. They cover all aspects of Film School from facilities to activities. We have an excellent health and safety record.
All UK Film School mentors are suitably qualified and have enhanced DBS (Police) checks. Every member of the team at UK Film School works professionally within the film and TV industry and has a wealth of experience of working with, mentoring, guiding and inspiring students.
UK Film School have all necessary insurances including Public Liability Insurance.
However, our insurance does not cover for personal accident or loss or damage to personal property. We advise you to take out insurance if you wish to have cover for personal accident or loss or damage to personal property or for cancellation through sickness, injury or any other reasons, as we are not able to offer a refund in these circumstances.

Our courses provide a creative, career focussed and highly practical experience of how the filmmaking process works. Our ethos is to treat students as a professional film crew from the outset. Students receive expert mentoring and guidance throughout the course.
The courses run from 9am until 4pm every day.

There is a maximum of 12 students per mentor.

You will receive a UK Film School certificate signed by our Course Leader and Founder, Gary Halliday.
All filmmaking equipment is supplied by UK Film School. The filmmaking equipment our student’s use is well maintained, professional, broadcast, quality.
Practical clothing is best for filmmaking e.g. jeans, t-shirt, sweatshirts and trainers.
Please wear sensible footwear and please don’t forget a warm hoodie or jumper and a waterproof coat and footwear, just in case the weather is wet or cold.
We recommend that students do not bring any personal items of value as we cannot be responsible for any personal items lost or damaged.
Lunch is NOT provided. Students can bring a packed lunch or there are a number of cafés at Pinewood where drinks and sandwiches etc. can be purchased.
The course will take place at CMSI located at Pinewood Studios– Pinewood Road, Iver Heath, Bucks, SL0 0NH.
Yes, there are two main car parks – North and South. Parking can be very busy at times, so please leave enough time to find a suitable parking space.
Pinewood Studios is easily accessible from Uxbridge, Slough and Gerrards Cross stations where free shuttle buses operate to and from the studios.
For students who wish to develop their skills in the industry or are considering a career in film & TV, our courses provide an excellent practical, introduction. Our mentors are on hand throughout the course to provide expert careers advice and guidance.
We can also provide references for applications to jobs in the industry, Film School and University.

International Students are very welcome however to get the most from the course you do need to speak English to an intermediate standard.
