Interested in learning more about cinematography and camera operating?

Under the mentorship of experienced Camera Operators, participants will learn the basics of camera operation including positioning, framing and focusing.

With this highly practical course, you will gain a real understanding of what it takes to become a working camera operator, as well as the ability to work with a film crew whilst interpreting and understanding a director’s needs.

This course works well as a stand alone course or for students who have taken the Introduction to Filmmaking Course and want to learn more about camera operating.

The course is led by industry professionals who will cover the following;

• Equipment you will need to get started
• Finding the right kit for each job with tips and recommendations from our experts
• Setting up your camera
• Using manual camera settings
• Composition and framing
• The focus pullers role
• Clapper loading
• Basics of lighting interviews and multi-camera shoots
• You’ll be working in a small group with a high ratio of mentors to student (max. 12 students to 1 mentor)
